From FDU Conseil to CoAudit Group: GRC built by audit practitioners

It all began in 2017 in Clermont-Ferrand, when Frédérick Dupont founded FDU Conseil. Drawing on 20 years of experience in audit, he brought together a team of around a dozen consultants around a dual expertise: IT risk management and audit and internal control consulting, with recognized skills in data processing and GDPR compliance. The firm worked for major groups in the insurance and pharmaceutical sectors as well as for audit firms, before eventually becoming a service provider to the statutory auditors’ regulator itself.

These years on the ground forged three values that still shape the company today: integrity, pragmatism, and efficiency. They also fed a simple observation, repeated audit after audit: control and compliance obligations keep multiplying, without the time available to carry them out increasing at the same pace.

This observation gave rise, in early 2022, to a new software publishing venture: a platform designed to manage audit, control, and compliance campaigns end to end. This shift permanently transformed the company, which became CoAudit Group. Its platform, now marketed under the name Sentinelys, found its first symbolic client in the Haute Autorité de l’Audit (formerly the Haut Conseil du Commissariat aux Comptes), the regulator of statutory auditors. Developed and hosted in France, in the Auvergne region, it now supports French mid-sized enterprises (ETIs) in the banking and insurance sectors with their compliance to NIS2, DORA, and CSRD — staying true to its founders’ pragmatic DNA.
